ACL Rehabilitation

Common Injuries we see

Intensive physiotherapy rehabilitation after an ACL injury can improve return to sport

A pop of the knee when twisting/turning or landing awkwardly, is the most common method of ACL injury.

Symptoms people often describe can range from swelling around the knee, feeling of weakness and soreness in the knee when sitting/working, and sometimes grating or clicking sounds of the joints.

It is estimated that ACL rehabilitation can take up to 12 months to safely return to sport. There are accelerated programs with some athletes returning to contact sports in 9 months.
